Hello, does anyone out there know a combination of Wilton Colors that I can mix to make a maroon color? I'm making a texas A&M cake, and thats the team colors. Thanks

Burgundy and red make maroon. If you don't have burgundy you can add drops of blue to red till you get the maroon you want.

Americolor makes a maroon color that works well.

I did this by accident, I added red-red to chocolate icing (thinking it would turn red easier) and it came out maroon. I also got some burgundy wilton coloring. The flowers came out purple at first and in my frustration I threw them in the freezer so I could calm down. The next day I pulled them out and they were maroon.

I did the same with the Americolor Red... I added it to my chocolate icing and it turned maroon... I loved my accident!
