Police Car Cake...help With Pics

My husband is a Dallas police officer and I would LOVE to do a cake for him in the shape of a squad car for his birthday in about a month (I figured I better start early!)
I had planned on using Wilton's 3D Cruiser pan but what I'm having problems with is the best way to go about putting the wording and badge on the side and rear of the car. I first though FBCT? But I'm not sure. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?? Thanks!
Hi! I am thinking the 3D cruiser might not look enough like a police car. If you have the Wilton race car pan...that might be better. You could make it look like the police car. I have an old wilton car pan that would be perfect...but I know it is discontinued! I also have a 3D race car pan that I bought online(I think it was race cakes)...but the shape of it is almost identical to your husband's police car! I am in Texas...but in Houston...if I was closer...I would let you borrow it!!!! Wish I could be more help...if I think of anything else...I will let you know!

Can't help with the shape, but for the writing: you could try using that edible rice paper and painting on the wording/lettering using diluted gel colors? That way you could get it pretty detailed, I would think...Good luck!
I would think that if you could do an edible image you could make decals up that match the decals on your husbands patrol car. That may give you the desired look. I think that a BCT would be to heavy on the sides of the cake and that it would slide off.
Hope this helps some.
I did Heath Police Cruiser last year. I used the 3-D Cruiser Pan.
