I enjoy looking at and appreciate each and every cookie that people take the time to post in the gallery. From the first-timers to the amazingly talented cookie gurus who have been around for a while, it is always so enjoyable to click on the thumbnail and see what pops up. Sometimes cookies come up that just blow me away. I stare at the screen and think, "How in the world do they do that?". Well, in the last couple of days it has been a thrill to see some of the tip-top cookie designers posting their masterpieces. Check out the Thomas train by SweetDreamsAT, the wine and grapes by TracyLH, the Technicolor Dreamcoat-themed cookies by bakinccc, and the spring assortment by JenWhitlock. All of them within a couple of days icon_biggrin.gif Don't skip any of the others because every cookie is worth looking at! It is so inspiring to see what is possible in our little cookie world thumbs_up.gif Thanks, everyone!

What is the cookie gallery? Or should I say where is it? I don't think I've ever been there.

Wow, kneadacookie! Thank YOU for the compliment. I'm totally not in the same league as many of you, but I'm sure having fun trying! One of my all-time-favorite cookies on this entire site is your state fair cookie bouquet which I recall won several awards thumbs_up.gif I can't even tell you how many times I've looked through your cookie pics and www icon_redface.gif You've kept me very entertained and inspiredicon_biggrin.gif

Heidi: The cookie gallery is where the cookie pictures are all posted. They moved it recently to a subcategory under "Miscellaneous" icon_confused.gif I liked it when we had our own category icon_sad.gif

Susie53: Thanks for the kind words icon_wink.gif

Oh! Oh! Cookie convention!! (jumping up and down, clapping of hands!) Sounds like fun! Sign me up!!! Throw in some of JenWhitlock's cakes and I am there!

Pebbles13 - This was so sweet of you to post this! It has been great fun seeing SweetDreams', JenWhitlock's and Bakinccc's cookies posted so close to one another. Whoo hoo! Cool cookie overload! icon_biggrin.gif I do agree that each and every cookie should be looked at. I learn a lot from seeing what everyone contributes. We all have a bit different take on things and all inspire each other. Oh, and I count you and Kneadacookie among some of my favorite cookie designers. You both have such an incredible eye! I am still cracking up over the "16 Year Old Boy" cookies! Those have to be some of my favorites!

HiediCrumbs - Did you find the cookie gallery yet? Have you fallen into the Cookie Black Hole? I thought you had already found that. Try to come up for air every now and then! icon_biggrin.gif BTW - love what you are doing! It has been fun to see you progress. Very nice job!

I agree, I just love the cookie gallery. I have alot of kneadacookie and TracyLH cookies as my favs. I even had help from both of these talented decorators and I got to try my hand at some of kneadacookie designs. I tried her cruise ship cookie and I tried to do her motorcycle, her's are much better, but I liked how mine came out too. I haven't had much time lately to play around and practice. Oh I would love a cookie convention!

We have a snow day here, so I am on here looking. icon_biggrin.gif

OH.......I want to be on the list for a cookie convention. What an amazing time that would be!!!

I agree with everyone here.....the cookie gallery is such a wonderful place. In fact, I know I would not have grown so much as a decorator in the last year if it not for all you wonderful, talented, and very helpful folks posting your pics and sharing your advice on this forum.

I love coming and looking at all the cookies too. I learn so much from looking. Plus.....it is very entertaining. Sometimes too entertaining. I'll sit here for an hour or two and think just minutes have passed! icon_surprised.gif

Thanks to all of you for how you make this such a great place for cookie lovers. icon_smile.gif

I was driving down the interstate the other day and saw a billboard that said the lottery was up to 173 million. My first thought? If I were to win that kind of money, I'd offer to pay transportation and hotel costs for the first 50 cookie decorators to come to town. I couldn't think of a better way to spend free money! (Too bad I don't buy lottery tickets...I might have to change that). A cookie convention would be awesome!!!

I have not had a lot of time to browse the galleries-somedays it is just hit or miss and I have just a few moments to look and comment, but I agree that the cookies being posted lately have been fabulous! I just need another couple of hours in the day to peruse all of the pictures. Great work everyone!! thumbs_up.gif

I can't say I am in the same class with a lot of the names mentioned here, but I totally LOVE the cookie gallery! I will yell at my dh to come look at a cookie and then I'll just gush over it like it was a million dollars or something.

You ladies are true artist and thanks for sharing your talent with all of us! icon_smile.gif

Wow, Gemini! You are so sweet to think of us cookie(ers) if you won the lotto! You could do a personal demo for us on your awesome 3-D cookies and all of your other amazing designs!

Yankeegal: I always look forward to seeing your cookies. If it says "cookies by jodie", it almost always jumps right into my favs! (That's a lot, considering you have 6 pages!)

I talk about cookies so often, my 16-year-old son knows a lot about my cookie world. He'll throw out terms like "NFSC, RI, "is that a tip 2?", who did that, TracyLH?"( icon_biggrin.gif ), "has shiney posted?" (as in shiney zebra icon_biggrin.gif ),and "That one looks like fondant!" My husband just quietly supports me icon_smile.gif

OK! I am soooo there! I'd not only LOVE to get a demonstration from Gemini - but would love to just hugg the so many necks who've helped me, encouraged me, and always been so willing to share their expertise with me! I truly admire so many here!
And maybe I should start playing the Lotto - so when we leave Michigan we can all come to my house in Sunny (yeah right!) Florida by the beach!
Coz if we're gonna be traveling ... we might as well keep going icon_wink.gif

How fun....a traveling cookie convention! And how nice to know you'd like a cookie demo from me. I'm giving my first cookie decorating class this fall and I'm already freaking out about it. What if I bomb? Look for future posts asking for advice on how to organize the class...I've already picked yankeegal's brain for all her ideas and she was a treasure trove!

Sorry missed your post. I wish it was a little warmer, not that warm. I am not ready for short weather. LOL It is freezing here in PA. We had wind gust up to 40 mph. Today it's still breezy. That wind is what kills ya.

At least you have till the Fall ... lots of time to get organized (and hopefully time for your hair to come back in after pulling it all out being stressed!) icon_wink.gif

Pebbles, you are so sweet! And I know its not polite to "toot your own horn" - but you really need to add yourself into the category of awesome cookie decorators!! I agree, its delightful to open the cookie gallery and see what everyone has come up with next and to share information. I've always thought it would be so fun to meet you all - so I'm in for the convention! icon_wink.gif
