I got a call yesterday from a friend asking if I could make cookies for a Bridal Shower (April) about 50 people. The colors are Peach and White. Any ideas. . .presentation, designs, price? Thanks for your help. [/b]
Is there a theme for the party?
you could do the wedding cake cookies, or I have a giant diamond ring cookie cutter - or you could do the bridesmaid dresses in peach and white.
go to www.cookiecutter.com to get some great cookie cutters and I think they are very inexpensive.
wedding cakes, bridal dresses, gift boxes, champagne glasses, champagne bottles, hearts with "congratulations" on them, umbrellas (cos its a bridal "shower", doves, monograms?
i like the idea of rings and margaritta glasses, bridemaid dresses for the shower (heart shaped cutters make a great bodice-that's how i did a bride and groom) the practice ones you did are fantastic!! love the lace look!
Linedancer,
Will you please tell me what you used to texturize the gown? Did you use fondant or royal icing?
Thanks
Thanks for all of your kind words The cookies are covered in MMF, I use Rhonda's Ultimate MMF. The embossing was done with patchwork cutters, the embroidery set. Here is a link, they are also on sale at Global art, but the CK picture of the set is better.

Also used tip #106 to make the curly hairline, then luster dusted it for color.
Yes. they have veils and also ribbons on the bouquets. I did have alot of trouble with the veils, even though I gathered them on a thread, the royal icing did not want to hold them, til it dried. If anyone has any ideas on how to do that, please let me know.
I also like how you did the details on the tuxedos. Did you do that free hand or have an embosser for it? You did such a nice job on it!
Thanks again, I appreciate all of your kind words. I did free hand the tux. For the shoes and the tux tails I used the W wheel with the smooth cutter, just lightly run it where you want the lines. For the stripe down his leg, I used the narrow edge of a craft stick and for the lapel, I used a dresden tool. I wasn't happy with the lapel and the flower, I would try something else when I do them again.
I have seen the bridal couple cookie cutters and always thought "how would I decorate those?". Well, now thanks to you, I know!
Again, beautiful cookies.
Fab cookies Linedancer. Love the lace look.
Sorry to lower the tone, but may I just comment on what a HUGE rack must be on the woman who fits into the dress-waiting-for-a-bride!!
LMAO!!! I have always thought that cookie cutter dress looks like it should belong to Dolly Parton!!!
