Those are usually included in my "catered" wedding cake price. But if I sell just those I get $10 for a "batch" which is somewhere between 100-150 mints.
Hi! I have never heard of cream cheese mints. Are they an actual after dinner mint? Would you mind sharing the recipe?
Thanks so much!
Sandy
Damn I haven't seen those in about 30 years. People still want them?
I'm with ya there. I remember making these when I first got started and as easy as they are to make, I just HATED making these! Easy, but lots of work.
fabfour, if I sell mints separately, I charge $15 +/- for 100 mints made from white chocolate. Melt - mold - pop 'em out of mold. Takes me about 15 minutes to make these mints. The cream cheese ones take WAY longer than 15 minutes and the raw materials cost is higher, so I might suggest you re-evaluate your pricing.
Sandy,
Here is a link to the recipe:

around our area, they go 100 mints for $25.00
hey, why weren't you at the bridal show yesterday??

Last time I made these mints, we used:
1 2 lb. bag powdered sugar
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese,room remp.
1 tsp. peppermint
Comine sugar and cream cheese. Add peppermint.
Roll into a small ball and roll into granular sugar and press into mold.
No refrigeration was required unless extremely hot.
They are delicious but time consuming. Works best if you can get friends and family to help.
I am hobbyist (spelling?). I make the cream cheese mints or the cream cheese fondant recipe by kanaswolf. I roll out the dough and use a variety of cookie cutters to decorate cakes or cupcakes. People really love the flavor. I usually sub the vanilla for peppermint flavoring.
The molds do take a lot of extra time that's why I have gone to using cookie cutters.
That's a great idea! Thanks for the info on the cream cheese fondant, will check it out.
Indydebi, thanks for your white choc. suggestion. I was planning on making cream cheese mints for my wedding but my FI hates mint. Maybe I'll do half white choc.
Have you ever frozen your white chocolates before? I plan on doing the C.C. mints early and freezing them.
Thanks everyone.
I've never frozen the cream cheese mints but I have made the mints out of candy wafers. They freeze very well and these are quick and very yummy too. Good Luck!
thanks for all the feedback. I was at 25.00 per 100. yes they are a pain to do.
I like the idea of white chocolate. Do you use wilton or make your own?
Hi Melody, I did not re-up the PWG. I'm still paying off the last $3000.00 bill. UGH!! I'm going al local on the bridal shows. Gives me more time to really talk to the brides instead of the 60 sec. rush.
