I just wanted to tell everyone how much I appreciate the advice on here. I was having issues with my NFSC recipe spreading and it was driving me crazy.

Is there anything worse than trying to complete an order for a customer and having your cookies come out of the oven with no resemblance to the actual cutter? My poor husband would hide when I was baking because he never knew if I was going to be happy or yelling when I pulled them out LOL

After researching on here I changed my butter for one thing. I quit buying the cheap store brand because I think they add a lot of water, which I know adds to the spreading problem. That helped somewhat, but I still had some spread horribly.

Then I cut the baking powder in half. What a difference! The complex cutters I have been having so much trouble with were a breeze. Last week a customer told me my cookies looked like works of art--thank goodness!

What an absolute treat to decorate these cookies now--thanks everyone!
