Just got boxes and bows in the mail!!!! Has anyone used the first impression mold beads on the edges of their bows? I'm wondering how/if that works before I order the CK mold.

jmlawren I do not have the first impression molds, but I think they make a half pearl, not a whole pearl and i am not sure how that would work on a bow. If someone has used them on a bow, I hope they speak up.

HTH!

The First Impressions bead molds work beautifully for edging bows! icon_smile.gif

Here's one I did recently:

I'm a hobby baker that does a few cakes here and there for friends (they do pay me) and when I got a wedding request, the first thing I did was buy all these videos. I didn't 'need' the bow dvd, but I thought, "What the heck"! So... after buying the DVDs, two new cake pans, purple fondant and the rest of the ingredients of the cake, I have now SPENT all the money I'll be getting, but... at least I got some fun out of it.

While a lot of the stuff I already knew (as most of us do), I did learn some new tricks which is what I wanted. I have yet to watch this one, but I'm putting to use the buttercream, stacking and fondant dvds today. Wish me luck - a square 3 tier wedding cake covered in fondant.

WOW! Cakepro & Nannie your bows look GREAT!

fiddlesticks, I have to agree with you thumbs_up.gif but then on the other hand they are all my fav icon_biggrin.gif

I hope I get to try one of the boxes and bows soon. I also love how she has on her web site for each dvd, were you can get the tools she uses and they are priced good also. As soon as I get a pre-paid visa card (DH is funny about using debit card over the internet) I am going to order some of things from her.
Keep Rocking It Sharon!!!

God Bless,
Sharon

Received my dvd and loved the information that was easily explained by SugarShack. My daughter has 2 of her other videos and they were just as helpful. Keep up the good work and keep making those videos.

I watched the 1st video and part of the 2nd one last night and I have to say "THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET"! I can't believe how much talent and information is packed into these DVDs. I can't wait for the next one. DH just got me the pasta roller for my KA and now I have a reason to experiment with it.

Sharon, can you tell us what brand the brushes are that you get at Michaels. They look so much nicer then what I have.

Thanks all SO SO much!

Tiggy the brushes say on the handle Royal soft grip. They are some of the cheaper ones they have there.

Make sure to check what they are made of to be sure thay are food safe. Mine don;t say it on the brush, I think it might be written on the container in the store.

I just looked at Michaels ad and those brushes are on sale 3/$7.00 (regular price $2.99/ea). I'm going there after work to make sure they are the same ones but they look just like ones you used in the video and the ad says Royal Soft Grip. I'll be sure to check the container.
