I have to bake tonight so I am really, really need an answer.

When do you stick the stick into your cookie??? Before you bake it, or after????

My cookies will be sugar cookies and I will roll them 3/8 of an inch.

THANKS!!!

i have seen people doing it just after, when its still soft and warm.
im pretty sure u can put it in before too, but that maybe depends on the stick?

I have done both but have better luck with inserting them before I bake them. I don't have as much breakage.

Thanks for the advice Twopeasinapod and brincess_b!!!!

I went for it and did it after they baked while fresh out of the oven and out of the 20 heart cookies I had one to split.

The only thing with doing it before they are baked is how do you keep the stick straight if it's inserted dead center????

p.s. - I'll post my picture tomorrow.
