Oh my god, I just went to check out the gallery. It's super fun. I've had an incident of fallen cake but was too shocked/mad to take a picture. Next time I will have to remember, no matter what... take a picture.

I would have had a pic for this gallery, but the cake was so bad I didn't even take a picture of it. Wanted to forget it asap! Took it in to work where they will eat anything no matter what it looks like.

Where the heck is the gallery?! I can't find it anywhere!!!

Nevermind, I found it! I wish I still had a picture of my 2 disasters, one was a really ugly yellow & green cream cheese decorated cake, the other was a destroyed cake (caused by the recipients I'm 95% sure) that had 12 hours of work in it. The first cake I didn't take a photo of and I was too devastated by the second to stop crying for hours!

So does this mean that whenever a disaster cake is uploaded it will be displayed on the home page? I can see it now.... someone will see the cake on the home page not realizing that it is a disaster cake and feel obligated to leave a comment such as, "...ummm...I like your cake...it's 'simple' yet elegant" icon_lol.gif

Okay, so I just uploaded my first picture into this gallery. I'm glad to finally have somewhere to put it. icon_redface.gif

The disaster with it was that I splatted the top tier all over my kitchen floor the day before the cake was due. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I had to take a day off from work in order to fix the splatted tier, and I completely ran out of time on it. So glad when it was done and delivered. icon_confused.gif

Yeah! cake disasters! icon_lol.gif I've got a recent entry for that category! icon_redface.gif

Another request though, can you add a "Men's Birthday" or something of that nature? I have been putting my mens bday cakes in the Fathers Day section cause I don't know where else to put them. It's so hard to decorate for a man's bday.(kids, girls & women are so much easier) I have been using the fathers day category for all cakes male & masculine, so maybe just rename it?

Like "Men's cakes" or "Fathers day/Men's misc cakes" So far none of my cakes have been actual "fathers day" cakes. But I love browsing the father day section for mens cakes ideas.

Am feeling slightly intimidated by the quality of some of the cakes in this gallery!
I mean if something is slightly imperfect is that a disaster??

I have the pictures. its the admitting I made them.... icon_lol.gif hahahaha!I always know a cake is bad my 7yr.old flat out tells me... The truth from a child..like he tells me I'm not fat just bigger than everyone elses mom.

This is great, I finally can post some of mine,I don't know if I want to admit to some of them though,LOL
I just posted a baby shower cake that I did the year before I took my classes. I was proud of it.{GAG}!!! at the time.
I used a lot of Wilton toys on it. I think I had a bowl full of plastic that I had to take off of it. LOL The bathtub is a soap dish that I bought at Walmart. I used a twizzler for the shower and a gumdrop for the shower head.
