Long story short, I volunteer at a center for low-income families. Well, 2 weeks ago, a girl at my church asked if, in lieu of gifts, she could request her 25 Sweet 16 party guests to donate supplies for the kids' art classes at the center. How kind and selfless is she?!!!!!
So, I, in return, asked her if I could make her birthday cake. They wanted to pay, at least for ingredients, but I said no. Well, I dropped it off at her house yesterday, and this morning, her mom told me that they had made a $100 donation to our church in my honor!!!!!
That, on top of all of the wonderful art supplies that the partygoers gave, will have me smiling all week!
That's so awesome, must feel so good She must be a really wonderful person. It's so nice to hear something positive like this.
Wow, what an awesome circle of giving. Mad props to you!
Now where's the picture of that cake?
What goes around comes around I always say. What a good girl she was, especially in this day and age of me, me, me!
This is a beautiful example of paying it forward, and reaping what you sow. I am so happy to hear of all this wonderful sharing, giving, and humanitarianism. Kudos to you, and you SHOULD smile... enjoy it!
I never get tired of hearing stories like this. I can feel my heart smiling. Thanks so much for sharing this inspirational story!
you think that you can't quit smiling...just think about all of the lives that have been touched through this act and how our heavenly father is smiling down on everybody involved in this story! God bless you all!!!
This is exactly how we would all like our children to act. Wow! Keep smiling, girl! You have been blessed and have blessed others!
