I just competed in a throwdown with Dmich. The theme was Romance/Love. I won the throwdown and now I'm looking for a new competitor!!!!!! I'm still pretty new at decorating, so I would like someone aroun my skill level. Take a looks at my pics and let me know if you're interested.
Here is the link for the throwdown I just did:

Thanks!!!!
Hmmmm. I've kinda wanted to try one, but most seem to be pros and I consider my self intermediate. What are the rules and the time frame to present the finished cake? I might like to take you on...
I have been doing cakes for less than a year but would like to compete in a throwdown!
maybryant, since you were the first one to post that you definately want to do a throwdown, I would love to compete with you!!! Do you know what the rules are? If not, I just posted them. We have to decide a theme and the cake has to be submitted by Feb. 24 3:00pm central.
Any suggestions on a theme?
For any others that want to do a throwdown, there are always so many people that are willing. CakesbyJamie, if you want to compete with any of the others that posted on here, I'd be more that happy to host it for you
yaaaa... I feel like I won the lottery!!! I read the rules and like what I see... THEME>>>UMMM... lets do something fun!!!
Okay, I am comfortable about everything except the stipulation that the looser must upload the pics for the next succeeding throw down. I have enough issued uploading my own example pics in forums.
I would totally screw up a TD if it was left up to me.
So, either I get a lesson in posting multiple pics in a single post, or I don't loose. lol
Same here, I will need help in hosting the next throwdown if I loose- So what next? Do we decide on a theme?
gscout73, you don't have to host it if you don't feel comfortable! someone else can do it for you. usually trixyinaz will host them, or i wouldn't mind hosting any either. go for it and have fun and don't worry!!!!
so mabryant hmmmm...something fun....what about
celebration cakes
circus themed
retro
i'm trying to think of themes with bright colors.
we also have to decide how big we want to make our cakes, since they should both be about the same size. but we can decide after we pick a theme.
no i haven't. that's a GREAT IDEA!!!!!! let's do that!!!!! then we don't have to worry about size, so disregard my last post
I am one of those people who refuse to pick th eplace to eat...LOL... this is hard ... tell ya what you pick I decorate...
looks like we are posting at the same time and I love the car idea... so good luck... or should I say bust a bag!!!
awesome, so we have til Feb. 24th. I'm gonna see if Dmich will host it for us so I will let you know where to email your pictures to when the time comes. hahahahaha....good luck
gscout73 would you have any ideas for us a theme?
Nooo, not really. hmmmm, theme... theme....
well, no purses lol That would really be emberassing.
o.k. no purses is fine with me... need something fun and please no princesses- I am getting very tired of them ...lol!
Retro? I am not clear as to how to interpret that. Retro what? Give me some direction. I'm on sinus medication and need some help. (that's not a chef's hat, it's an ice pack for my headache)
Like designs or patterns of the 50's or 60's. Or what about doing a crooked cake? I have been afraid to but I would be game.
