Don't have a local place to buy cake boxes for tiered cakes! Any Internet sites that are good with competitive prices? I've never gone wrong using sites referred on the CC forums!

I have started using Global Sugar Art (www.globalsugarart.com) for most my decorating supplies. They are friendly and fast in shipping your orders. Also they are having a sale right now and their Satin Ice is on sale 25% off. I saved about $160 this morning - can't do better than that. Their shipping prices are very, very reasonable too. I just bought several boxes for tiered cakes and can't wait to put them to use.

Good luck.

Square Wedding Cake Box by Bakery Crafts..This is my first order of them, but there is a photo of them on the web site and it gives the measurements.

I checked out the sugar art website but the height only goes to 5". I have a local vendor that has 12 x 12 x 12 and I LOVE this size. I use it to deliver my 3-tier cakes and it allows me to totally cover the cake from top to bottom. The only problem is ONE box costs about $3.50 and I would love to find a better "deal" somewhere out there. Would it be considered "rude" to take my box back after delivery??
Any more suggestions?? Thanks so much for your help.

Is there a place you all know of where you can buy like 30 or so boxes at one time? I wouldn't use a 100 boxes of anything for a year or so, don't have storage for that much.

Anyone?

The wedding cake boxes I ordered are much larger than 5". Here is the link to the webpage: http://www.globalsugarart.com/cat.php?cid=888 . These boxes appear to be very sturdy and I think could be used over and over. You know I hadn't given any thought to what to do about the box after you deliver the cake. I am sure other's have input on this subject. But I think that if the price of the box is a problem, add it to the costs for the cake. Maybe other decorators could share their input for what kind of boxes they use and where they buy them.

Cutie pie was complaining earlier about 3.50 for a 12x12x12 box shoot I pay almost that for a full sheet 3 in high. I'd like to know where she buys boxes so cheap.

OMG I fell in love with the Big River Products Boxes!! They offer an all-natural line of boxes with windows and free shipping. It may cost more for the boxes, but that's the kind of stuff I believe in- Recycle, Reuse, Resell. (not with cake unless it's a cake truffle tho)

I can't take the credit for that... I have to change my signature line... It's my good friend who has that shop, and she laid me off in October, and has encouraged me to become her competition! So I'll tell her you said so!

Maybe I'm luckier than I thought?? Buy from Party One SuperStore - but I still have to deal with the fact that I NEVER know when they will have them in stock. I asked about ordering requests but, of course, they won't place orders just for one customer??? Again, very frustrating but I guess I understand.

These look FANTASTIC. Will definitely give them a try! Did I forget to mention my local vendor also sales the boxes without a lid. Thanks so much. I knew you all would point me in the right direction.

do you know how strong they are? I bought some bakery boxes at Uline and they are FLIMSY.

I buy most of my boxes from CK Products...but they only have the normal sizes up to 6 inches high.

What I can't find are square cardboard cake boards.

Is there a place in canada that has good rates? I looked at some of the sites listed from the US and they have great prices. Only thing is the shipping and then the duty would boost those prices back up.

Your best bet is probably moving boxes, you can buy them cheap at most self-storage locations.
