Hi there,

I am from the Uk and am looking for a good basic white cupcake recipe and a basic chocolate cupcake recipe - any suggestions? I doubt we have the same cake mixes here as you do so scratch recipes would be good!

Also, a good recipe for BC suitable for topping cupcakes would be good and how do you store them? Can you freeze them before topping them and once they are out of the freezer how long will they last for?

TIA for all your help!

I use this recipe for cakes and cupcakes. Sometimes I leave the red color out (for white cake) and sometimes I only use a little more cacao for chocolate.

f6r a ch6c63ate cake get the betty crocker devils food chocolate cake. you can find them in all the supermarkets(sainsburys, morrisons, tesco ASDA). its really good, easy and moist. as for the sponge cake use the normal victoria sponge recipe. i've always used it and with good results.

Hi, I generally use a basic sponge cake mix, for chocolate ones, i add drinking chocolate
4oz flour
4oz butter
4oz caster sugar
2 eggs

This is also another good recipe
4oz butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
51/2oz caster sugar
2 large eggs
71/2oz flour
4floz milk

For butter cream, I use 8oz icing sugar, 4oz butter, 2tbls milk

Hope this helps
