I have a friend's wedding coming up in June, and she has requested gray cupcake liners to match her wedding colors. I have looked high and low and haven't found ONE anywhere. icon_cry.gif I would appreciate any advice/suggestions/direction for this. PS: the other option would be silver, but I fear that foil wrappers would be oh-so-tacky. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Really? That was going to be my suggestion before I got to the end of your post! icon_lol.gif But seriously, why do you think foil is tacky? I think they are quite nice.

And to answer your question: I recently did a very exhaustive search of the Internet looking for something different in a cupcake liner and not once did I come across gray. Sorry I can't help.

What about using the silver foil ones and wrapping a ribbon/bow around each cupcake with whatever other color matches the wedding. It would be a lot of work, but would look beautiful.

or you can make your own. if you buy the scrapbook paper in gray you can use the template (on cc) to cut out and put on each cupcake after they're baked.

Have you heard of Cupcake Wrapture? They make tons of wraps and they had some that were gray and silver together. Really pretty. Here's a link

Wow, thanks everyone for all of your comments! Very helpful and I am taking a look at the links right now...

Cookieman: I stand corrected. After actually seeing the foil liners at Walmart/Kroger, I realize that I had imagined them differently (looking like smushy used aluminum foil). But, alas, I stand corrected: foil wrappers will be more than sufficient for pretty cupcakes. Walmart, I apologize. icon_smile.gif

The cupcake wrappers are gorgeous, but the bride let me know that it's a little too pricey for them. But the idea of wrapping cut scrapbook paper is a good idea, as well as the ribbon wrapped over it... now, do I really want to do that to 200 cupcakes? Hmm....

Consider the matter resolved - I am satisfied. YAY!!
