Oh yes, mine came last Saturday, woohoo!! I was going to log into this thread and say the same thing. I could hardly heft the box inside my house. Image

Was so happy to receive it in time for my cake this weekend. thumbs_up.gif

A million thanks again to the OP for this one. There is no way I could have afforded this turntable at regular price, so you enabled me to have something I was never in the league for.

I am glad that I was able to find this deal and share it with everyone. I actually ordered 4 of these and got all of them over the past couple days. I weighed one of them and it was 18 lbs! I about broke my back hauling them from the front porch.

I LOOOOVE this turntable, the plate is as smooth as butter! It is by far the best turntable I have ever used. I hope everyone who got in on this deal like it as much as I do.

So would all of you recommend that I return the Wilton $79 turntable I bought today and get the Daddio kind instead? Does it tilt also?

I don't know what features the Wilton kind has, but the Daddio definitely does not tilt

I've heard of many cake tragedies with the wilton tilting turntable - I'd definitely get the wilton professional (heavy duty) or the daddios or ateco - don't waste your time with the plastic ones if you can avoid it.

I have the Wilton heavy duty turntable and it doesn't operate very smoothly. It is actually quite wobbly. I haven't received my Fat Daddio ones yet (should be here tomorrow) but from what everyone is saying it sounds much better then the Wilton one I have. If it were me I'd return it and get the Fat Daddio one.

I haven't ordered from Amazon before, but when I followed the OP's link the cheapest turntable is $42.99. Is the $12.99 deal gone?

Yeah, that deal has been over for a couple weeks. Keep your eyes open though because they sneak steals like that in occassionally!

I got lucky (thank you OP!!) and got two, since it was the same price for one vs. two with the free shipping offer..... anyway, this sucker is 19 lbs, or so the box said. I mean holy cow, it is so dang heavy, I cannot belive it. Was going to sell the extra but then DH talked me into to keeping it since I often go from my high work table to the lower kitchen table during various stages of decorating so if I have one on each, it would make it easier. Plus, do you know how much it would cost to ship 19 pounds??

As for the tilting table, I got the Wilton one and took it back the next day. It was a hot mess. I have found that if you want to turn your heavy duty table into a tilting table, I take a piece of no slip, put it down on the table, then take a washcloth (damp) folded or a roll of no slip and prop the back or front of the turntable on the it.

Then I put a fresh piece of grippy stuff on the turntable and it works well for angling the top to you or allowing side piping. I doubt this is very original but it works for me so I figured I would share. icon_smile.gif

I ordered one too and it is sitting at my dad's PO box in Plattsburgh, NY! I can't wait to get it. Too bad Amazon.com does not deliver to Canada, but as soon as my dad goes to get his stuff, I will get my turntable!

I guess I won't have it in time to make my son's 2nd birthday cake next weekend, though...

Thanks so much for letting us know about that deal!

I got mine while I was working on a cake. I heard a solid THUNK on my porch and saw the postman walking away. It's SO nice. I stuck my 4 year old on it and spun it just to see. It had no problem spinning away...
As for the Wilton turntable, it's SO bad that if you really want one - pay shipping and I'll send you mine.

There's gotta be something wrong with that system.  You would think that if someone had backorders, they would fill the backorders first.
