Hi, Alan.

I was just wondering if you would ever consider carrying products from the Argentinian company/manufacturer, Remy. I have one or two products from them that I love (veiners) and I don't remember where I purchased them from.

I have heard of and found a few e-bay retailers that carry some of them, but not what I'm looking for and one that does carry it (mold of girl's head and torso) is out of stock. But they also make textured rollers and a few other products as well and their prices are usually very good.

Just in case you're not familiar with them: http://www.moldesremy.com.ar/catalog/index.php

Also, just to let you know, I'm a member of the NJ Cake Decorator's Club on www.meetup.com and one of our members (whom I believe is also a member here, but I don't know her user name) recently taught two classes on how to make a GP Figurine and used this particular mold. I know that most who attended the classes are now searching for this mold with little to no success and I thought of you/GSA.

Just an idea. icon_wink.gif
Thanks.

Thanks for making the request, Grace.

Alan - I was the one who taught the NJ classes and I know of over 15 people who would love to get their hands on these molds! An eBay seller has Remy products but has been out of stock for several weeks. Remy also makes great lace molds that are affordably priced.

I have looked at the REMY product line several times in the past. They have not been easy to communicate with. I will try once more and see if they are willing to ship to us. If so, I will happily add the line this spring. Watch this post for updates on the line.

I have sent three emails to REMY with no response. Could someone else try emailing and see if you get a response? If so, please tell them that I am trying to reach them.

I will keep trying........to the bitter end....just for my faithful fans....OK Alan, enough already.... icon_smile.gif

Hahaha, now that's customer service... stalking a manufacturer for our benefit! (Teasing) Sorry this is so frustrating though... I know how that feels!

Alan,

They answered me right away, and were very interested to hear about the interest they had generated on CC. They have received your e-mails, but have been on vacation (the long hols are in December and January in many places in the Southern Hemisphere, so I guess that could be true). They will be responding to you shortly, so that might be good news. They seem to have an excellent selection of products I would use myself and so would many other decorators, I think.

For some reason I never received notification that there were any additional posts to this thread and I just stopped by now to check on it. Wow! You've all been busy little beavers!! Thanks for your help all.

So, Alan, is there any progress yet? icon_smile.gif

I'm going to send in a request to Remy as well (just to let them know how much interest there is out there for their products to be carried by GSA).

Yes, Remy did finally email me this week. However, I am on vacation for the week so I will look at their products more closely when I do return. They did tell me the cost of shipping the products to the US was as much or more than the price of the items.

I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks so much, Alan.

I hope something can be arranged that will be mutually beneficial for GSA (you) and Remy. I know, first and foremost, you're both businesses and need to make a profit so the S/H aspect really stinks, but maybe you can work something out.

Keep us posted and enjoy your vacation!

I am still working on this issue. I will place an order over the weekend and see what shipping costs we have to endure. If it is reasonable, I will have them ship the items to me. It usually takes 4-6 weeks to have an order manufactured and shipped. These companies do not keep large inventories of their molds on hand. Alan

Thanks so much, Alan, for all your effort in trying to make this arrangement happen. Hopefully it will all work out well for everyone.

P.S. Hope you enjoyed your vacation. icon_smile.gif
