Welcome to CC TESA999 ! please let us know if you get any new products! Just curious, are there instructions to use the letters or is it self explanitory? If so, are they in english or German?

The instructions are in German but it is easy to figure out what to do, there are diagrams - the hard part is figuring out which way to put the letters in, they have to go in in the right order but back to front, it took me a couple of attempts to get them all right and they really are tiny so they are fidly but it is worth it!

What are you going to make Fiddlesticks? It's 11pm here and I'm going to bed, can I expect to see something fab in the morning?

I think this is the link to the set without the biscuit cutter

Y'all got me crazy curious about these. Today at JoAnne's I noticed a set of letters 50% off!! After hearing that the Michael's ones didn't stamp deep enough, I stood in the store and unwrapped the box. PITA, by the way, I swear it was wrapped like 5 times. And I think the other customer sicked a store lady on me because she kind of glared at me opening the package, then walked away. 2 seconds later an employee was nonchalantly strolling down the aisle icon_confused.gif

Anyway, I think these ones stamp fairly deep and they were just $8. My picture kind of stinks because it's from my cell. I can try to post a better pic later.

Ok, Yes Like I said I got mine today and let me tell ya they rock ! Im in love with them icon_lol.gif
I had just mixed up some sugar cookie dough before the mail came, but then had to run out for a little bit. Of course I couldnt wait to get back home icon_razz.gif
So What I tried was the plain dough stamped instead of fondant since I had just made some. It looks great in person ( so to speak ) but I had a hard time getting a good pic, to make it show up on camera ! Anyway here it is and if you cant tell it says Fiddlestick cause the s on the end would not fit with the letters inside the cutter( which I also used ) icon_smile.gif

Yes, Linda, it's fondant. And I bought some clay cutters I found that are giving the same type of outline Fiddlesticks got out of the set. Fiddlesticks, in that set, is there a holder for the letters, that you set them in? Like typesetting?

That would actually give you one heck of an advantage over the stamps. It's really, really hard to line them up. I am going to try snagging a binder clip from work and using that as a clamp to help align them.

bizatchgirl.. Yes there is a holder for the letters that you use if you dont want to use the whole cutter set up.
I couldnt imagine using the letters with out a holder as they are very tiny!
Also they show up very well here in front of me so much better then you can see in my picture .
Im thinking its the color of the dough. My plain is not to use them on bare cookies, I wanted them for fondant.
I have some cupcakes to make later in the week and I can use them on fondant then.

Thanks Fiddlesticks. The stamps have a long wooden base so they're easy to hold onto, just hard to line up. I will play with these for now but I may have to order the ones you are all raving about.

Look in my photos soon. I'll have pics of two baby shower cakes I just did. I put the little plaques saying 'welcome baby' on both cakes. Both done with the stamps I got from JoAnne's.

And I know what you mean about the pics, the letters don't show up nearly as well in the pics as they do up close and personal icon_biggrin.gif

Fiddlesticks, what I bought is just a box of rubber letter stamps from the stamp section at JoAnne's. Oh, and as I type it again and read the box for the brand, realize I've been spelling it wrong!

The brand is JoAnn Craft Essentials. It's in a purple box. The regular price was 15.99 and they were on clearance for 7.97. It's the full alphabet and all of the numbers.

Even if they're not on clearance in your area, you should get a sale as I noticed their stamping stuff was all on sale. They had a set with larger, more stylized letters that was $10.00 on clearance. Now that I know these work, I will probably head back for the other set.

I posted my pics but I still think you can't really see the quality of the letters there icon_sad.gif

I got a set at Michaels that was a concrete impression set. They were in the area where you make blocks for your yard and you can have you kids imprint their hands. They work wonderful!

I thought I should show you all the other wonderful fun things I found at JoAnn's today. I love hitting the clay aisle!

This is the larger stamp set I was referring to earlier. I can't find my set pictured. http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat1938&PRODID=prd28383

Cutter set with nice scalloped blades, one larger, one smaller. 2 straight blades. One flexible and one not. http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2741&PRODID=xprd529963

Etch and pearl set. Instead of using small icing tips to make little round impressions in fondant, you can use these! Not really what I hoped for after I tested them out icon_sad.gifhttp://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2741&PRODID=xprd529821

Rolling wheel set. 2 herringbone type patterns, one floral pattern, one dot pattern. I want to do a purse cake and one of the herringbone patterns will work out great for a zipper. Test drive on this one went perfectly icon_biggrin.gif
http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2741&PRODID=xprd529742

Hope this helps someone!

Edited to correct a typo.
