I posted these cupcakes 2day and I've been getting alot of questions on how much to charge for them. I've never sold any cupcakes before so I have no idea. I was hoping the cupcake experts out there would know.

For cupcakes I charge 1.00 ea. You know the ones for kids parties. What you have would fall into the category of individual mini cakes and I start at 5.75 ea. HTH
By the way BEAUTFUL WORK.
My buttercream cupcakes are $1/each, for basic icing and cake, and go up from there. Your cupcakes are gorgeous and waaaayyyy out of my league, but if I did them I think I'd start at $5 bucks each just b/c they're so incredibly detailed and fondant...but like I said, I haven't done fondant cupcakes, so maybe someone else would have a better answer.
your work is beautiful & I would charge at leat $6 or 7 for the bridal duo.
Let me mention, I do not have a bakery, nor do I even bake from home for profit, but I know this hobby of mine is not only time consuming, but VERY expensive.
I know it is important to be compensated properly for the work you do. Keep that in mind. There is nothing worse then feeling taken advantage of for underpricing.
Keep up the great work, i'd love to see more.

thank you guys so much, they were my 1st fondant cupcakes. normaly i just use a tip 1m to swirl , but i wanted a challenge

You know fondant is not as easy as putting buttercream and your done..There is alot of work that goes into doing fondant..If you ask me I would charge $9 for every one of those bad boys..they are gorgeous.. and they are not your typical cupcake..
I would start them at $7 each for the flower ones and more for the bride/groom ones.

I didnt fill them with anything, since they were just practice cupcakes, but thats a good idea for next time.

The one thing I do know, is that I would fill them with buttercream so that they will be tasty. A lot of people just aren't a fan of a cupcake.. and I for one don't want to eat just cake. I'm in it for the frosting! LOL.
I do.. I put a nice big plop of BC under the fondant. I use my medium cookie scoop and plop it on then tamp it down with my little angled spatula and make sure it's all covered. Then I roll out the fondant and use a cookie cutter to cut out circles and cover them. You have to figure out what size cutter to use, but it will be bigger than the diameter of your cupcake. Then lay it on and smooth it out. I chill the cupcakes first so the BC is hard and smooth the fondant. The warmth from your hand smooths out any bumps in the icing. I fill them too.

No problem at all! I usually pop them in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes and then put the fondant on. Works like a charm every time. The trick is making sure that your fondant will cover all of the BC. I have a set of circle cutters from Ateco.. they range from 3/4" up to 3 5/8" ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004S1CI/?tag=cakecentral-20 ) and they are great for this. I use them to cut out the tiers for mini cakes as well.

That is so good to know! I have picked those same circle cutters up to look at several times (at a cake store near my parents house) and always set them back down because I didn't know what to use them for! So now I can get some! Thanks again!!
I bought those same cutters, i had been eyeing them for like a year and finaly decided to get them. they really come in handy. thank you jkalman for all the help
