I've seen so many cute/interesting/unique names on here and it makes me wonder...
How did you come up with these names?
Does your name tie into your business if you have one?
And sometimes I just think.... "I don't get it..." lol

I don't think this is on here yet, it's a just for fun post, so tell me...

What does your name mean?

My name means: I am a HUGE Carolina Tarheel fan!!! GO HEELS!! And I am literally a tarheel.. from NC! thumbs_up.gif

I don't tie my business name to my user name on CC just because when I rant and ramble about something that sucks or something a customer has done they can't trace it back to my business!! I like to be incognito. haha icon_biggrin.gif

Malakin-a take on the name Malekin which is children with magical powers that have been brought up by fairies and gnomes.
There was a story about a fairy in Suffolk, England who would sneak into the manor every night. A little girl servant in the manor would leave the fairy food for her every night. The fairy as a reward finally revealed herself to the servant girl of the manor.
Hence food=cake=delight=magic

Mine is self-explanatory, I suppose. The next best thing to cake = southern sweet iced tea! (Heavy on the "sweet!)

No sorry, I can't take the credit for my avatar. My daughter drew that for me with the fairy/cupcake to tie into the name. I only cook. She's the great artist in the family.

I kinda stole mine. icon_redface.gif There's a caterer in town that goes by "Indy Anna" (get it? Indiana? Indy Anna?) Ok, anyway .... icon_biggrin.gif I thought that was such a COOL play on words that I stole, uh, borrowed the idea! I started using Indydebi years ago on ebay and other websites. It tells folks who I am and where I am.

Mine is the first initial from the names of everyone in my family......my husband, myself, and each of the 4 kids.

I wanted to use the initials of each of the kids names, plus the first initial of our last name.......that would have been "karma". But sadly- icon_sad.gif - it was already taken.

Mine isn't original either, the letters are the first letter of my husbands, two sons, and my own first name. The numbers are my two sons birthdates jumbled up.

My first name is Linda, middle is Lisa. When I was little, my dad would call me Lisa Mae. I can't tell you how much I hated it. I would actually cry. Well, the more I voiced my displeasure, the more he called me Lisa Mae. I grew out of the "crying" over it, but still hated it. My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a couple of years ago and suddenly, it didn't seem so bad. So the official name of my business is LisaMae Cakes in honor of him.

mine is from a conversation my sister and i had a few years ago. i forget what we were talking about, but i said something to the effect of, 'i'm as much fun as the ice capades, the jescapades!' and thus, a screen name was born!

i've since decided i'm going to open a jestaurant someday, and serve all my favorite jecipies and it's going to be a fabulous succ-jes!

we'll serve jespresso, jescarole and jescargot (okay, maybe not that last one).

so, if you need a jescape from cooking, come on down! icon_cool.gif

WellI also have one of the boring names I guess,

Momma - I am a mom as well as every kid that comes through my door calls me momma. I honestly don't think they even know my real name.

Kristin - That is my first name.

When I first signed up I could not think of anything else to put. I have since named my website krazykakesbykris as well any cake that I make is a krazykake. But I still love my Mommakristin!!!!!

I love being called momma by each and every kid.

This is an awesome thread!
Okay so in spanish/latino/hispanic (whatever you want to call it), the diminutive is commonly used as a form of affection, hence: Mami (mom) becomes Mamita, Papi (Dad) becomes Papito. So I'm named after my godmother Marta so to distinguish us from one another, she retained Marta while I became Martita (little Marta), then I just ended up being called Tita for short. That's where the Tita in my name comes from. The 9/4/99 is a significant day in my life- my wedding day.
