I need some ideas for Mother's Day cakes. The Ladies Aux at the Fire House is having a bake sale the day before Mother's day.

Have you thought of doing mini "Gift" cakes?
You could pre-make a buch of fontant/gumpaste "gift tags"
(basically just flat rectangles of fondant)
And bring some edible markers with you, and fill out the "tags" when someone buys one of the cakes:
"To: Mom
From: Davey"
I'll put money on it that those will sell more than any of the other items at the bake sale!
