Mary - I added you to the winner's list. We have decided that we are going to have one team for the winners and one team for the losers and not separate by skill level --- it just makes it easier. Then the winner of the Winner's and the Winner of the Loser's will compete for the title of 2008 Ultimate TD Winner. And after seeing your christmas ornaments, I think you are more of an intermediate/advanced than a beginner. That was really awesome!

Mary - Pinklesley proposed an Inspiration theme and most everyone liked that idea so that is what I have posted for your team. So you take something that you like - your favorite painting, a vase, wallpaper, your favorite movie - and you make/design your cake around that. Then when you post your pictures, you will have a picture of your inspiration (the painting, etc) next to your cake that was inspired by your object. Did that make sense? So, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to design your cake around your movie or TV show...if that is what inspires you.

I'm so excited. Now, out to find some inspiration!
I was dreaming last night and woke up to sketch out my cake design before I lost it....
Sweet, Black and White it is! I'll get to work on that! 
I may have to go get more food coloring, though... 
One question though, are we BARRING all other colors besides black and white, or should the black and white just be the MAIN colors? Just wondering...
Good question! I would like to know the results as well. I, for one, think it would be an extra challenge to make it just black and white. I'm game either way though. I would like to have that question settled before this day is over if possible...so we can maximize what time is allotted.
True, I think it WOULD be quite the challenge to do ALL black and white, and I *ASSUME* that's what it is, but I didn't want to exclude other colors if we were gonna allow it... Either way, I'm so excited!

i had no orders when i decided to do the td and now i have three massive orders... i think i need to want to do tds every week so that i always have orders...
when i have no orders no one calls, and im bored.. but when i have other orders, or want to do a competition.. i get swamped...

if i can put my two cents in ... with reguard to the black and white theme... i think you should be able to add an accent color, such as red .. like my black white and red cake... you need that POP of color... but just keep it to an accent.. jmho

I *DO* like the pop of color on the black and white, but I think that's where the CHALLENGE will be! To make it look SPECTACULAR with no other colors! And that way there will be more continuity in the TD...
So when we're done, where do we send the pictures? To trixieinaz? Just thought I'd ask while I was thinking about it so I wouldn't be trying to find out at zero hour...

Okay....Happy New Year to everyone! I have to jump in the shower and get ready! I can't get off this dang computer!!!! Facebook is addicting!!! I'll work on finding someone to post for us. I have a few people in mind that I don't think will have a problem.
I like the pop of color, but I think it will be way more challenging to do just black and white. I'm in with what ever the majority wants.

I also like the just "B & W" theme. I've already accepted that I'm beaten, however I'm going to give it my all. (To me, this is probably the most challenging theme I can think of...)
