Does anyone know where I can purchase Pastry Pride whipped topping.? I am a beginner and I would like to try and use it. Thanks!

Try restaurant supply stores - URM, CASH & CARRY, SMART & FINAL, it just depends on where you live! Personally I prefer the Bettercreme product but they are very much the same and PP seems to be cheaper!

It definately depends on where you are. One other store to try is GFS (Gordon's food service). A few cake supply shops also cary it but I have found most of them charge big bucks for it
If you are not fimilar w/this product it is in the fzr section. It comes in milk carton like containers - either qt or gallon.
It never fzs hard, but remains semi slush. Rather than defrost the whole pkg (especially if you are icing say an 8x4" round or there abouts) spoon out about 1/4 to 1/3 of a qt. Oh yah, it helps if you fz the bowl and beater before. Now just whip it up *just* until it becomes thick like ordinary whipped cream. One can easily overwhip it. If it is hard to squeeze thru a bag it is over whipped; just add a bit more liquid and stir well (dont overhwip again).
It does not take color well Usually the lightest of pastel shades is all you can muster before it turnes into a hopeless liquid

You might not find it on the East coast. I live on the West coast and we have it here. But when we moved to Nebraska, it wasn't available, I has to use Rich whip or bettercreme.

I am located in the Allentown PA area and our local cake supply shop carries Whip n Ice which is similiar to the Bettercreme/Pastry Pride but tastes better.

Smart & Final is the only place I have been able to find it. I am in CA & most people don't even know what it is.

Do you have Smart & Final or anything like it?  I don't know the names of any other but there are a few similar type stores.

Also, Frostin Pride is what you should be using for frosting cakes.  Pastry Pride does not hold up as well and (unless the formula has changed) it does not take coloring well - just very pastel coloring.  And it comes in vanilla and chocolate (which is to die for! LOL)  

Have you tried the places mentioned in this thread?  Check you phone book for restaurant food suppliers.
