Are cupcake bouquets as hard to make as they look? I realize there is a tutorial (infact it's in my binder), however I've just never worked up the nerve. Do they really stay in place? I'd like to make some for the holidays.
How fancy can you get with these???
thanks ~
trust me...this was my first time...i did 24 of them, and it was quite easy.

mixinvixe-Thanks for the tutorial. I thought it was hard too but you have made it very easy to follow...
Happy Holidays!!!
I had also been scared to try a cupcake bouquet, but found a great tutorial on here a while back, and they are really pretty easy... http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-46327-cupcake.html+bouquet
I have done several this way, and they are always well received. I have a few examples in my photos.
I hope this helps!

I was upset at my daughter's cookie exchange this year.
But I'm happy now...because next year she's opening it up that we can do whatever we want....And I'm making everyone a cupcake bouquet.
WOOOOHOOOO!!!
I just love cupcakes.
this is probably too late but if you want to make the "original" cc bouquet, it is so incredibly easy. if you have that original tutorial, then you know what supplies you need. my only suggestions is that you put your cc's on with skewers instead of toothpicks. they are longer, thicker and are more sturdy. i have never had any cc's fall off or even look unstable. i first tried 7 reg cc's but my bouquet looked a little sparse, so i prefer the 14 cc's.
here is a pic
