My fried wants me to make this shoe for her cake in a couple of weeks. The ones I've seen are different though. This one is a closed shoe. Can anyone help me out with a template? Or at least tell/show me how to make my own?

Thanks!

i don't think it would be too hard to make a template. how big would you need the shoe to be?

jewels, I would need it to be a size 6. Lifesize. Thanks!

brincess_b, I would really prefer a template as I won't be charging a lot for the cake and in shipping alone it would probably cost more than the entire cake. thanks for the link though, something for me to drool over. icon_smile.gif

Hi jewelsb78 ~ Since so many would like a copy of your shoe pattern, maybe you could upload it to the site so all of us could see/use it. icon_biggrin.gif

here is the paper version of the shoe. i can't wait to make a gumpaste version of it. i've been wanting to make a shoe for a while but haven't had a reason, but the minute i saw this shoe i fell in love and knew i wanted to make one!

hope you like it. and if you need help making a shoe. check out boonenati's shoe article http://www.cakecentral.com/article69-How-to-Make-A-Gumpaste-Shoe.html

edited: the back looks like it migh need to be adjusted to come back a little. i didn't notice it until i was looking at the pictures.

she needed a size 6, so i looked up the measurements on the net and it said it was approx. 9" in length so i went with that. i'm a size 9 so i really didn't have a model to go by, lol. so "approximately" a size 6. icon_lol.gif

wow i feel sooooooooo horrible. i did it in paper and i really should have tried it in gumpaste before i uploaded the pattern icon_redface.gif i went and tried it because someone was having problems and i really don't know if it is possible to get those squared corners and the closed back without something collapsing. especially with such a high heel (or even with a small heel for that matter) i apologize to anyone who has spent the time actually using the gumpaste. next time i'll try it in gumpaste before i post a template icon_sad.gif. i'm going to take down the template, but if someone really wants to attempt it, just let me know and i'll email it to you.

again i'm really sorry icon_cry.gif
