Hi,
The mom wants hot pink and lime green for the daughter's first birthday cake. Does anyone know how I can make these. I have a lot of Wilton colors, or is there another place on line I could buy these colors? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Americolor makes electric colors that are bright, neon and vibrant. You can order them online or check your cake decorating supply store.

I have used them and love the brightness of them.

Americolor has electric green that is probably what you're looking for. The color looks MUCH better when tinting fondant, and not nearly as nice with SMBC.

I agree with the others. It is electric pink and electric green by Americolor! I think you will be very pleased with them!

I just made a hot pink/black cake today for a girl's birthday. I usually use Americolor but used Wilton pink because I had some left. It worked just fine for the hot pink color. One thing I learned about making a hot pink buttercream cake is that hot pink is a very unforgiving color!! I am usually good at smoothing buttercream but the hot pink color shower every flaw!

the strawberry shortcake colors have a great lime green and hot pink, and you can get them at hobby lobby and michaels.

I found "Neon Colors" by Cake Mate (there are 4 tubes in the box) in the baking section at both Walmart & Safeway, they worked really well for me.

I agree with the electric colors from Americolor. If you want to see what the colors look like, look at my photos at the green, square package cake with pink bow.

DecACake also makes a line of neon colors...the box of four has hot pink, blue, lime green, and purple. Sorry, I don't know where they would carry them - I picked up a ton at the dollar store near my house.

The Jonas Brothers cake in my photos I used Wilton leaf green with some yellow to make the lime green. For the pink I used just Wilton Rose pink for the writing and it was really hot pink. Good luck!

if you want to use what you have... mix equal parts lemon yellow and leaf green for lime... wilton rose makes a beautiful hot pink!
