I am doing a wedding cake in May for a reduced price (long story). While it is a very simple cake, I don't mind doing it for the price I've agreed to. The problem is that I'd love to have it on a cake plateau, one of the pretty silver ones, but I do not have one, and am CERTAINLY not dropping the $100.00-ish for ones that I've seen on line.

Does anyone in the Columbus area know where I can rent one? Does anyone in the Columbus area have one I can rent from them personally? The wedding is May 19th.

I'd appreciate any help.

I think I heard that Cake Craft on Cleveland Ave rents cake stands, etc. I've never done it or asked, but I've overheard them talking in the store. Don't know price or anything--worth a call.

sorry I don't have one.

good luck!

Not sure but since I'm local I'll give you a bump. It would be great to know some more info on rentals in case I happen to need one. Good luck to you.

I just got one in the mail this week that I bought from eBay for $65. An 18" round. I have them on my 'watch' list so I get emails when a new one pops up on a listing. I'm after an 18" square one next. If you watch long enough, you'll find a good one at a good price. Search under "cake plateaus" and "silver cake stands" ..... some listers don't know they are called "plateaus".

At only $65, I figured if I use it at 2 weddings, then I've recouped any money I may have laid out to rent the one from my local cake supply store.
