Like them into the Castle Cakes?
Or Figures on a Cake?
Why didn`t you try it on you own way?
Maybe like to try, to bake a castle tower in a high sausage can?
Or why did you didn´t make your Figures with Fondant at your own??
I dont like these PLASTIC... on a cake to eat
What´s your Position in this???
Best whishes.
I try to design my cakes so I don't have to use plastic or anything non-edible. However, I just don't have the skills yet to make elaborate fondant figures or make everything myself, so there are occasional times (really only once or twice that I can think of) that I've had to use something plastic. Maybe one day I'll have more time to learn how to work with fondant and gumpaste as I would really love to up my skill level! By the way, your work is beautiful!
I don't know if I've ever even seen any cakes on here using plastic; are you sure you aren't confusing some incredible sugarart done with fondant or gumpaste, to plastic?
You shouldn't be making copyrighted characters or other material for sale, so many use plastic figures on the cake instead.
To each his own. I don't worry about what other people do.
Your cakes are lovely, by the way!
I would LOVE to make my castle turrets edible.......but my stinkin customers never wanna pay the extra money for my time and effort......so if plastic is ok with them, so be it!! And I just don't have the time to make them for free everytime.
Also another reason is like stated above that when you're doing a copyrighted figure you HAVE to use the toys and such that are available unless you want a hefty fine, or you're NOT selling the cake!

It varies.
I refuse to break copyright laws so I will not do cakes in the images of a copyrighted item.
Another factor for me is cost. If they can't afford a 100% edible cake but can with plastic accessories then that's what they get.

I have done cakes in many different ways. It's all based on the customer's budget to the supplies I use and how "technical a cake gets."

Again depends on the cake theme. If it's a copyrighted item I refuse to do them because it's illegal.
If it's a castle them then I'm not opposed to making figures with fondant but again it's going to cost the customer. If they can't afford it then they don't get it.

It is what it is and if you don't like it on there then you can:
a) scrape off the frosting where the plastic touched it
b) refusing the slice
c) eat it and enjoy every bite
What´s your Position in this???
Depends on the situation.
