I think it might help if you look at some of the holiday gingerbread houses (since I can't find any castle pictures) to get ideas from. I think that would be the easiest comparison. When I read christmas castle, first thing I thought of was a white castle with red and green accents, decorated with a ton of candy.

I like this one from the Wilton website, just obviously made of cake instead

Ipretty much copied mine from Wilton. I think it was on the box that the castle kit came in...
