I made this for my husbands birthday and took it to Chilli's for the party.
I WAS SO EXCITED 4 PEOPLE STOPPED TO ASK ABOUT IT AND ONE WANTED MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER AND SAID HE WAS GOING TO BE ORDERING SOME!!!! Thank god my daughter was sitting beside me because when he asked for my name and number i had nothing to write with i had left my purse in the car. She grabbed a coloring crayon from her son and tore piece of paper from his kids menu very fast so i could give it to the gentlemen. LOLOL!
So here it is, gimme all the critiques you got CC Members! icon_smile.gif

Strawberry cake filled with ganache covered in buttercream icing, with ganache poured over cake, topped with choc/white covered strawberrys, choc. shards and curls with a sprinkle of cocoa.

I dont have a single critique. It looks elegant and delicious, exactly the type of cakes you would see in upscale bakeries. From the sound of it, it tasted great too. Congratz!

Your cake is absolutely beautiful. I love how you have the chocolate pieces standing on the top. Makes it look very highend. Looks yummy to.

Nicely doneicon_smile.gif No wonderful people asked aobut it.
Next time: a little less drizzle. It looks like it is running off the board in many spots. OR is that just the picture. It's not real clear.

Thanks everyone........very much for the nice compliments. The next time I do one of these I am going to drizzle and let it run off before I add the bc border, the first layer of ganache was a lil transparent and that is why I continued adding a few more drizzles. A good learning cake for me. Have a great weekend you all.
