I was just thinking....How awesome would it be to have our first little how to be a tutorial on cake boards? I've noticed that since I've started decorating my boards...I've gotten more compliments. The cakes themselves look more professional.

Hey everyone.... Hope ya'll had a great Christmas. Mine has been very busy and stressful, due to lots of reasons... I am finally starting to feel better. I've been sick for over 3 weeks now and just can't kick it.

I got so far behind, I am still making my usual Christmas goodie baskets that I give to all my family and close friends...but they understand since I've been so sick...it'll be more like a new year's basket..lol I did make some really cute choc. covered oreos. Hopefully I'll get some pics uploaded soon.

I'm looking forward to our upcoming meeting, whenever we decide to do it. I want to also remind everyone that if they want to go to the cake club meeting in Lubbock, it will be Sunday Feb. 1st. I have decided to continue going and become a member of it, as I think there is so much experience and knowledge in the members there and they have soooo much to share. Their yearly dues in Lubbock are $20 if anyone else is interested....you can pm me and I'll give you any other details or info you need.

Hey..How many people should I account for? Maybe like 10 to 20? May not have that many but so there will be plenty of room? Does that should about right?

Ok, I sent out PM's to every who showed interest. Total "invites" including us: 16. Someone said they knew someone who'd be interested. Plus the one other lady from here and the one from Alpine. So now 19. I'll give it a few days and see who responds.

Would anyone be adverse to changing the location to Fort Stockton? Just so it would be easier to find a location to have the meeting. I waited too long to call Odessa. I tend to forget that big cities work differently than smaller towns. icon_redface.gif

I haven't been following this thread because it won't let me in. This website won't let me login or do anything with it. I can't get messages delivered to my email or anything like that. I was able to post some pics and then it crashed on me again. I just gave up and did not even bother checking in. I finally got an email from Diana today and decided to check here to see what was going on and it's working!!!! Unfortunately, I can't make it on the 31st. We are going on a skiing trip to Ruidoso. Well my husband will ski. I will just sit around and play with my kids.. I tried skiing 2 yrs. ago and spent 3 hrs on my a$$. I gave up. Later I realized I have a vestibular imbalance which means that I have poor balance and coordination. No wonder I could never do sports. Anyway, not that I'm interested. Sorry for my sad little story, NOT! But anyway, if you guys continue to meet , count me in. I'm really interested. Have a great day.

I love Ruidoso! We go up there at least once a year, especially in the summer, to get away from the heat here in EP.

I say leave the kids with DH and go play at the Inn of the Mountain Gods! icon_twisted.gif But then, I just love roulette! icon_lol.gif

Well, I have no idea where anything is at so I'll just have to rely on other El Pasoans to let me know how far. Is anyone from El Paso willing to carpool? Will this need to be an overnight thing or a day trip?
