I got a bag full of the butterfinger cookie crumbs, (you know the cookie inside the chocolate bar) I though of using it for a cheesecake crust but I'm not too sure
Any thoughts?
Tia
send it over to me! ha ha, i'll just eat it with a spoon! lol... the crust sounds like a good idea, or sprinkle the crumbs on top of frosted cupcakes? i'd love to hear what you end up using them for!
Cookies maybe? Chocolate chip cookies with the butterfinger crumbs in it.
It could work for a crust too, as long as don't melt in baking and come out really hard.
How about making chocolate cake truffles (aka cake balls) and rolling them in the butterfinger crumbs?

I'm not sure how big your bag is, but if it is enough, maybe coat the sides of a cake with them.
When you dip the cake balls in chocolate, you could then roll them in the crumbs while the choc is still soft. I think they would stick to the cake balls if they weren't dipped in choc first, but I don't think they'd stick very well. But I admit I haven't tried it that way before so I don't know for sure.

Here's a recipe you may want to try:
2 c graham cracker crumbs
1 c soda cracker (saltines) crumbs
1/2 c margarine, melted
2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
2 c milk
1 pint vanilla ice cream
5 c whipped topping
5 regular size butterfingers (crushed)
Mix graham and soda cracker crumbs with melted margarine. Press all but 2/3 c into bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Mix pudding with mailk, blend in icecream. Pour over crust and refrigerate 2 hours until set. Spread whipped topping over top. Mix reserved cracker crumbs with Butterfinger pieces and sprinkle on top. Keep refrigerated.
Hope this helps.
I wonder how messy your crumbs would get after dipping the wet cakeball in the chocolate! Sounds FAB though!
Cindra, if you let the choc set up just for a moment before dipping the ball, it won't get messy. The choc will start to set up just slightly so it won't be drippy.

I must admit I've read about cake balls before on the site, but have never tried them before...
Could anyone guide how to do this as I think it would be a great idea with the holidays now coming....
btw my bag of crumbs is pretty big, i'd say maybe about 8 cups or so....
Ok so this isn't a cake suggestion but here's my two cents.... How about chocolate covered pretzel rods with the butterfinger crumbs over the chocolate? Salty sweet heaven!!!!
Here is the link to the cake ball tutorial in the article section on CC.

I just remembered that I have a chocolate toffee cookie recipe that uses Heath toffee bits. Since you have such a big bag of crumbs to work with, how about making some choc cookies and stirring the crumbs into the dough as if they were toffee bits? And then sending me some cookies?

MMMmmm... love Butterfingers!!! You could also fill a cake with traditional BC then top with butterfinger crumbs before you put on top cake. I do this with oreo cookie crumbs and people get all excited - like it's a surprise in the middle of the cake!!
Happy Cak'n!!

Thanks, will try!!!
I have to ask (no one else did), how did you end up with 8 cups of butterfinger crumbs, jovigirl?

Mmm... that sounds tasty to me. May have to smoosh(very technical term) up some to make this for myself!

My sis brought the leftovers from her work after she was done with a project...
She's a flavour technologist... Cool job
