I know it, you guys! I am losing my mind!! Maybe I DID make it all up! No... I know I didn't. And I feel so terrible each time someone posts a pic I get all excited... this could be 'the one'!! Then I feel so bad telling you it's not! icon_redface.gif I bet it was in a post somewhere... not in the gallery.

SaraClassic, you are cracking me up... that's probably where it is! icon_cry.gif I wish we could just find it!

And they set a date this weekend... they're going with September 5th, so I have a little time to find it! icon_biggrin.gif

Mel - WE WILL PERSEVERE!!! If only just because you have helped me sooo many times with all my questions!

And NO you are not losing your mind because of a cake. If you are losing your mind, blame it on the baby who thinks he can walk alread! icon_lol.gif

Seriously, I do remember what you are talking about. It was in a forum/post but for the life of me I can't remember the topic. And the lady who posted it had a picture of what she and one other decorator did together.

So everyone check their posts! icon_biggrin.gif

Unfortunately no... I don't think I did post in it. BUT... I have been going through all my old watched topics looking for anything that strikes my mind. I've also been reading a little bit too... which isn't helping the speed of this process, but it does remind me that I'm darn funny sometimes! Hehehe. I've even made myself laugh a little!

Yes, it was just one CC member here. And she was giving her helpful hints/opinions on what the original poster's topic. I think the CC member that put her pix is not on here very much. And I thought I had posted on it! But shucks if all my posts are missing!!!

So I'll look through my "Save this Forum" again because I don't go thru and "deactivate" my "saved forums" very often. icon_rolleyes.gif

Melvira--any chance YOU commented on it and could look back through your...um, well, a small amount really (5185) posts.... eeekkk.... that's probably not conducive to the search..... oh well... Forget I said anything...

HA icon_smile.gif good luck...

I wholeheartedly believe it was posted in a thread and now, that thread is lost. We can hope that someone took the initiative and saved it.

Ok, now somehow the posts in this thread got all out of order... that's weird.

I bet you're right though, that it got lost in the great crash! Hopefully someone did save it! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I know this is not the one you were thinking of, but it is definitely a mountain of presents. http://www.colettescakes.com/wedding_cc.html#

The only problem with googling it is that it's going to take me through like four thousand cakes! icon_lol.gif I know, I tried. Hehehe. If I knew exactly what it was called, or who made it, or something like that it might work, but at this point I am feeling pretty defeated.

Might this be the cake? From the time you were looking for the cake in question I thought of this, but just finally found it a second ago. It's amazing!

Do ya'll know what I just realized? Someone needs to burp me...I got air bubbles on the brain! I've been searching through various topics in the forums trying to find this photo. I was narrowing it down(or so I thought) by looking through those around this time last year...say June on. Of course, I was going by the date in the right hand column....What an idiot I am! That's the date for the LAST POST!!!! Okay, Melvira...that deserves a double doi!!! I mean, if I can't go by the date in the right hand column...someone may have posted to that thread...say..yesterday and it would then have yesterday's date on it!

A date/time frame search of original thread would be cool as would a search field for threads with photos.

Heh heh, I've been looking too. But tons of my posts are AWOL and I think they all bit the big one when CC crashed!

Gosh Mel I ready your accident post. Holy cow that's got to be scary. I'll bet you felt it in slow-motion when it was happening. Thank goodness for seatbelt laws (in my own State) and for car seats for your baby! did you get a new car seat? I guess it has to be new and not re-used after an accident...just a thought...

Okay, back to cake..... I can see that picture you are looking for in my head. She put it in a post, cake was setting on a table like a pile of presents, not a very good photo (kinda dark) and taken a ways away. Prob a camera phone.

It was def in a post. I posted on it. But my posts are gone.

Perhaps the original poster of the thread will SEE THIS and it will jiggle the memory! icon_biggrin.gif

What I was thinking was if we found the thread topic...even if the actual thread content was gone, the header(at least in "watched topics") still exists...aaaaaaaaand it is listed by date of original post....we could click on OPs name and look through their pics or PM him/her.

Now, a couple of you have stated that ya'll remember an unclear photo...the one I'm thinking of was clear and up close enough to where you could tell there was different details on each cake and the poster made it or someone made it for the poster for an event where it would've been considered 'above and beyond'. I reckon I'm not watching that topic any longer...I can't find one for the cake I had in mind either. I haven't given up yet though.

Yah, I recall it being a good picture too. icon_confused.gif That's weird. Who knows, maybe I am destined to never find it, and that's ok too. It would've just been nice to have it. I will live... I have a few other things on my mind right now! Ugh. icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks GI... the worst is yet to come, but thank God everyone is OK!

Good luck w/ the insurance co!! Hope they had good insurance. Our car got almost totalled while it was parked about 6 weeks ago. We just got it back, and it's still not okay (it was still salvagable). But we are just grateful that noone was hurt, that's the main thing!

Ok, a HUGE thank you to Suzie1962 for sending me a link to a cake that fits what I'm looking for. It's not the same one that I saw on here, but it's a great example of what I'm looking for. Not the perfectly stacked gifts, but more like 'gee that looks like the gift table, not the cake table' cake! For the record here it is: http://www.paninicakes.com/brides/gallery7/index.html

Again Suzie... thank you so much! This helps me immensely!

Oh sure, throw a few thousand cakes in your face and you're totally worthless! Sheesh! icon_lol.gif

Yes, Fiddle, I am considering something like this for my nephew's wedding. They are getting married in September, and my understanding is that they can't decide, so they're going to let me do whatever I want. Oh joy!!! Their colors are black, white, and red. I may work in some silver, depending on what Bride-to-be says. Or if she chooses gold, you know, whatever! It's all good! I can't wait. I really like her, and he is my 'first' nephew... I was only 9 when he was born, so he's really almost more like my brother, so this is important to me that I come up with something that knocks their socks off!
