I'm doing a craft fair in Nov. and was wondering what your favorite way to wrap them is. I know they make plastic containers but they seem very big and they would take up a lot of room.
Thanks for any help.

What about doing them in styrofoam cups and making them into a cupcake bouquet arrangement?
If you are selling them individually, look at my avatar (or in my gallery). Otherwise, they also have clear celophane bags that would be big enough to put in one cupcake and tie with a ribbon.
I've always thought using sundae cups would be a cute idea. You could tie a ribbon around the bottom to dress it up a bit.
I was thinking of the celephane bags. Wouldn't the icing get all over the bag though? Or is that not the case?
Thanks for your replies!

What I did once when I was still in school and took cupcakes. I took saran wrap and did it big enough to where it didn't hit the icing very much on the sides, and then took the top of the saran wrap and tied it with a pretty ribbon. These turned out cute and were cheap and easy to do...
Solo makes some clear 9oz cups that a cupcake fits nicely
in. Even with swirled icing it fits inside the cup. You could
then place the whole thing in a treat bag and tie it up with a
ribbon...
Purchase 16 oz cups with lids (you can get at Smart & Final if you have one in your area - or any local cash & carry store) , place cupcake on the lid and turn the cup upside down to cover. This is what we do at my deli when we sell single cc and it works like a charm.
You could then place your logo sticker and contact info on the cup so people can order from you again in the future.
Also, if you can get away with charging more, how about the cupcake in a jar idea where you bake the cupcake in a wide mouth, short mason jar, ice and vacume seal closed.
JennaB--that is a cute idea. Why in the world didn't I think of that!!!!
I have also had good luck going to the bakery section of local stores and looking at the different clear deli containers they use. They usually have a ton of cute things and many of them will sell you the containers.
How about a chinese takeout box tied with ribbon? I've seen some translucent frosted ones at craft stores (so the cupcake's not completely hidden). You could also print up custom labels and then place them on the front of the box, over the ribbon. Does that make sense?
Sounds fun - good luck!
