Hello CC Family

I am in need of some guidance. I am trying to figure out how do I color my choloate I used a sea shell mold and I would like to color the shells?

1. What do I use to color them with icon_cry.gif ?

Also I would like to make some candy apples like for halloween but I can't see to get the candy mixture to act right it just seems like it is rock solid on the apples too hard to bite icon_mad.gif :

to color the shells, if they are already made, use some powdered food coloring just brush on and you will be good to go. If they haven't been molded yet, if you melt mostly white, then swirl in some dark chocolate they will mold up beautifully.

As far as the candy apples, i always thought that the candy was supposed to be hard on a candy apple, unless of course you are doing caramel. So i guess i'm absolutely no help there.

You can also use petal dust on the shells. I agree swirling w/ two colors of chocolate is very pretty.
If you are using a cinnamony syrup it is suppose to be hard. Caramel just add a little milk and see if that helps.

If candy is harder than what you would like then cook it to a lower temp. Try lowerin temp in 10 degree increments until you get what you want.
