Is all you make cream pies, or do you do custom cakes as well? Cookies? Desserts? I am on the other side of the river from you, by the airport.

I would rather make 1 cake for $150, than 3 for $50 each.

The person who works for nothing will always have plenty to do!

My sarcasm is good-humored. People generally really like me, in person ;-)

Licensed, inspected, insured, home-based commercial...

We qualify for a "ohio" Cottage Food Production Operation" Do we have to be lienced? And is it in stone "no Pets?"

Cottage food operations do not have licenses... You are legally allowed to have a pet under the regulations as well... You cannot make anything that requires a fridge though... All goods should also be labeled as made in a home kitchen...

There is a home licensed kitchen that allows you to make food that requires a fridge... you are not allowed to have pets... your kitchen must pass an inspection... and there is a $10 fee to the department of agriculture...

That is based on state laws... each county has their own regulations that may vary...

I have a question regarding labeling. If I do only custom cakes, cupcakes and cookies for orders should I label those as well?

Check with the department of agriculture and your local health department to be sure...

All bakers under Ohio Food Cottage Laws must lable everything they sell.

See link to Cottage Food operation for requirements.

Does anyone have a sample label for a decorated cake they would be willing to share?  I am just so confused on how to list the ingredients.  Especially for fondant covered cakes.  Thank you!!
