How Do You Ice Cupcakes As A Whole, To Look Like A Cake????

Ok, I have seen on here and in stores where a dozen or so cupcakes are iced smooth to look like a cake...it sounds simple but, how in the heck do you achieve that.

Arrange the cupcakes in your desired shape, or just push them around until the shape looks good. then the icing can be applied, generously to create the smooth top.

An icing tip can help. some people also use a dab of icing to hold the cupcakes in place.

Make sure that you put a small amount of icing on the bottoms so they dont move around. You can get a big tip-I cant think of the #-but it's HUGE!!!! It's smooth on one side and on the other has little nails to make a multi-line look.
