I'm trying to get together a few items to sell at Breast Cancer Bake Sale. I would like to make some choc. covered pretzel rods and marshmallows. I have a few questions. How do you dip the pretzels and marshmallow? Is there a special technique? Do I wait to add sprinkles? Also how do you store until they have hardened? Another question that hasn't been answered in another thread--how do you get sprinkles on your molded Oreos?

When I make pretzels, I dip one side first, allow to dry and then dip the other. I prefer to do 1/2 dk choc, then 1/2 white and then drizzle another color over both. For the marshmellows, I place on 8" lollipop sticks and then dip in the chocolate.

I put sprinkles, nuts, coconut or whatever while the chocolate is melted. Then everything goes into the fridge to cool and harden.

I allow to open air dry for about 1/2 hr so not to create condensation after packing.

I don't know what molded Oreo's are, but I guess I will be learning quickly.

lhayes1976 Here is your answer to the oreo sprinkles question:

auntginn molded oreos are oreos that have been covered in chocolate, some use a mold made especially for this, others just dip in chocolate. Here is a link where it is discussed:

When I do pretzels, I like to use the smaller ones you get in a plastic barrel at Sams. They are smaller, a nicer portion and are logs. So you just dip the end in. I use my cooling rack which is made up of wire with squares, to stand them in while they dry, as auntginn said, put the sprinkles on while the chocoate is still wet.
