I just received this thru an email, so I haven't tried it, but I will soon....
MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE...the most dangerous cake recipe in the world.
4 tablespoons cake flour or all purpose (plain, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar / splenda
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips(optional)
A small dash of vanilla flavouring
1 microwaveable coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla flavouring... and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!
(This can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
People shouldn't post dangerous recipes...........but I have to admit I'm at my own risk. lol Thanks!!!!!!!!!
I would bet this could make a cute christmas gift (pre measure the dry ingredients), place in a mug, add a tag with what else to add and directions. Hmmm...I might try it.
What a great idea! I will make tonight (if I can wait that long) and post review Thanks for sharing, you are a sweetheart!
I received the same e-mail and of course went home and tried it. Not bad a little to sweet, next time I'll use less sugar, and of course a little tough like most things micowaved; but for a gotta have something sweet treat, Not to bad.
What a cute idea!!! Do you think you would be able to make them in the oven??? I will have to try it as well~!! Thanks!!

I had the same thought when I read this....
okay I just made this ! Not bad. I didn't have the chocolate chips, I think that would have made it better. It wasn't the best chocolate cake I have ever had (also no buttercream!). But the fact I was eating it in less than 5 minutes was pretty cool. I was surprised how well it worked actually.
I finally tried this but added pieces of a chocolate bar & it turned out better than I thought
The scale saw this coming & ran away
