I am very frustrated with this figure. I am trying to make a lion for my nephew's birthday cake, but I am having one heck of a time with a mane. I have applied and removed at least 3 rounds (for lack of a better word) of fondant mane on this figure. What do you think--does it resemble a lion? Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks.
Yes! It looks like a lion, and very cute.
The only thing I can see that might help is another layer of the mane to make it a little fuller, or maybe 2-tones with a brown layer of mane between 2 yellow ones.
I am very impressed, though. Cute face!
I think the lion looks like a cute nursery rhyme lion, and I think that's what you're going for. Just my opinion. Never made anything that clever in my life. But to this layperson, it looks way cute!

That's exactly what I was thinking!
I think it's adorable!!! It does look like a lion, but I think it would look great with a two toned mane. Great job!
I think it is very cute. I love the color. But I agree....it needs a mane. But still, just adorable!!!!
Thanks for the feedback! I like the 2 tone idea. Maybe I will try adding some brown dust to the edge of the mane.
You;re ont he right track but I agree the mane needs to be fuller, and possible vary the color a in the mane a bit.
You have to right click on the red X then go to open picture.
I think it looks like a lion , but agree with the others about a little wider face and a little more mane. Too cute!!!!!!
I love it, but I agree with everyone else. It needs a fuller mane and go for the two toned. Just add some darker pieces in front and behind the ones that you have already done!
Other than that, I think that he is great!
To those who mentioned a fuller face, I tried to figure out how to make a pudgy face, but I got so frustrated, I finally stopped when I had something that even resembled a face. Any ideas on how to make big cheeks?
