so i tried using fondant one time but it didn't taste very good.
is there any way that you can flavor it or but flavored fondent.
which fondant did you try? I love making MMF, it is very easy, yummy and cheap to make! if you are wanting to buy some, satin ice is very good.
here is the MMF recipe if you want it:

Speaking of MMF. How do you keep it from tearing and cracking. It tastes so much better than Wilton and it so much cheaper but I have the hardest time getting it right!
if your are going to buy fondant rather than make it I have found that you CANNOT beat Satin Ice. It's the same fondant Duff uses on Ace of Cakes, it actually tastes like buttercream.
HTH,
Chele
i got it at a craft store. it was jsut plan white. so me and my freinds colored it and that we tried soem and it didn't taste very good.
Wilton is quite nasty, though I'm just taking everyone's word for it since I've never tried it. I just tried making my first batch of MMF tonight and it didn't turn out too well. I added too much powdered sugar and it got too hard. My mixer couldn't even turn it was so stiff! So if you try MMF (which I would recommend because it is cheap and yummy) just remember to add less sugar than you think you'll need, about 3/4 of what the recipe calls for. Keep adding small amounts if it's too sticky.
