Hello.

I was just wondering if you use just one layer of cardboard under your cakes when using the sps system or 2 layers?

Thank you!

I just started usig this system and love it! I have only used a single cake board. You get support from the sps plate. If for some reason you wanted to use more than one be sure to glue them together otherwise your cake will slide and that is one thing that this system is great at preventing. Just my opinion and maybe someone else has another view...but I would just stick to a single board.

This will actually be my first use of the system. I'm looking forward to it since I have read so many great things about it. My usual place was out of the coated cardboards so I guess it would be best to cover them this time wil press and seal or something of the sort.

I just purchased this system and plan on using it this weekend. One question that I didn't find the answer to: Do you cover your cardboard circles with something like butcher paper to keep the cake grease from weakening your cardboard?

No, absolutely NO need to cover the cake boards at all. They will be sitting on a plastic SPS plate.
