Oh Ya..a mix of sugar & cinnamon sprinkled over buttered toast! Yum !!!! Another good one ! We also used to eat Ketchup sandwich,s, But again the white bread with butter and sugar was the best ! We would run in the house after playing outside for hrs and make a fast sugar bread snack and run back out with it !

Do a search here for cocoa cones -- they've been very popular for the last couple years.

My Grandma Vicky used to make us cinnamon toast and hot chocolate for breakfast(or when ever we wanted it, heehee) But the best sandwich she made was her frosting sandwich! She made the absolute BEST chocolate frosting, that no one has the recipe for, GRRRRRRRRR! But she would put that frosting on her homemade white bread and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Talk about sugar high =)

Hey Bobwonderbuns, thanks I did those last year, they are fantastic. I had a friend ask if I did dips for veggies and chips in the cones. I hate to buy so many ingredients to play around with. I was wondering if anyone had tried and true recipes they were willing to share.

I once received a mason jar filled with the dry ingredients of a scratch cake mix. Then on a very pretty little attached card had the directions of how to make it. I am sure any mix would do. The presentation was great and is what made the gift so memorable.

My friend also gives a homemade hot cocoa mix every year. She wraps it in a big cello bag with cute ribbon and note card. It is delicious and an expected gift when 4 little mouths insist on drinking it!

THe recipe is:
8 quarts powder milk
1lb choc drink mix
1lb non dairy creamer
1/2 c powder sugar
* Fill cup 1/2 full with mix, 1/2 full with water!
Stir and enjoy!

So are we only aloud to do pictures of cakes? No cookie or pies or candy or sweets?

Fiddlesticks what a cute idea to give with the spoon. She finally gave me the recipe b/c we go thru it so quickly. MMMM I can taste it.

I too love the cinnamon/sugar toast!

I also wanted to post that I make painted chocolates and molded chocolates for my holiday gifts. I do a large open house each year, right after Thanksgiving and the first weeks of December. What I have left I then give as gifts. Works out perfectly.
Chocolate covered oreos, Chocolate covered crackers w/peanut butter dipped in chocolate, chocolate covered pretzels, peppermint bark, and cute molded slieghs and reindeers as well as hundreds of suckers. There is a really cute mold of a christmas tree and then you put M&Ms on it for the lights. That seems to be a big hit with the kids!

Can't wait for the morning to try the toast with the cinnamon sugar thumbs_up.gif

Ok, cinnamon toast is amazing, but there is one step beyond that... Milk toast!! Have you ever had that? You make cinnamon toast with a SUPER THICK layer of cinnamon and sugar, then put in on a plate and pour hot milk over it!! OOOOOOOOHHHH BABY!! You could also put the hot cocoa on it instead of the milk! icon_lol.gif Combine the two yummies!! thumbs_up.gif
