This is the first year I made up baskets. It was a lot of fun. I put in them all homemade pumpkin butter, cranana jam, pumpkin seed brittle, cinnamon pickles, cinnamon applesauce. Then I made up some of Fiddles cocoa Santas and made up some little stockings with candy cane and mint truffle kisses. Oh, and some homemade vanilla! I want to make some chocolate covered oreos if I have time and add them also.
They sound wonderful GrandmaG. Yes they are fun to make up ! How did the Santa heads work out??
I would love to know what you did to make some little stockings with candy cane and mint truffle kisses. I can you post a ic or share how you made them ?? sound interesting. Are they also a decorating bag ?
I just made Martha Stewart's. Very simple but used felt.

Ok, this is lame, but... does anyone know if I've missed any recipes lately? I've had such a hard time keeping up with CC between the problems they've had and all the stuff going on at home. I just want to be sure I'm up to date!
Hey Mel..GrandmaG has a jam recipe on page 36. I think your up to date other then that ? The one right before it is already in the file. I also want to add that the candy cane oreos make delicious choc candy barks in the white choc or reg choc! Looks pretty bagged up with Christmas ribbon!
Yes thats it. I kind of left them in small chunks and stirred them into the melted choc. The red cream oreo,s look xmasy in the white choc bark to ! But these Candy cane ones are soooo delish! I just got back from W.M. and got a few more bags ,they are still on sale!
I bought all of the Holiday flavors of Oreo's! I'm going to try the bark, Fiddle! Thanks! Have you used the white almond bark in the oreo molds? I got some but haven't used them yet.
Thank you fiddle! I have added that now! In doing so I also noticed I had missed the deadly eggnog recipe, so that's in there now! Thank you to everyone who participated and submitted recipes! That will keep us going for years just trying them!!
GrandmaG ..Sounds like your all set to make bark ! I have not done the oreo molds in the white choc yet. I use the SAMS dipping choc and I have used their white choc but not in a mold. I have been doing reg dipped oreo,s this yr. I just wanted the more ole fashion look this yr .
The colored oreo cream fillings are very pretty in white choc as a bark!
I have finally made it to the end of this thread! A little late for Christmas, but this one is quick and easy. It's a fruitcake that someone brought in to work that we've shared. So simple...
1kg mixed fruit
600ml chocolate milk
2 cups self-raising flour
Soak fruit in milk overnight (in fridge).
Next day, fold in the self-raising flour. Pour into pan and bake in a moderate oven (about 180C) for 1 -1 1/2 hours. Check the cake after an hour with a skewer until it is done in the middle. If it starts browning too much, cover with foil.
This cake won't keep for very long since there's no alcohol to preserve it It is dense with fruit, but pretty yummy. We have had people try it with strawberry milk and they said it turns out fine. You don't really taste the flavoured milk, I think it's more for the sugar and fat. I have made this using orange juice instead of milk and that worked well too.
I'm originally from Missouri and it sure doesn't feel like Christmas here in Sydney - too hot! So I've really enjoyed reading about what you all are making. I remember always making sugar cookies, peanut butter balls, fudge, no bake cookies ahhh lovely! Next year I'll be doing all that again Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
Daisy, that is fascinating! Who'd have thought of something so simple!! I have added it to our recipe file. Thanks for sharing that.
I hope you guys like it. It's so easy to make! Thanks Melvira for adding it. Have a great chrissy everyone!

Here's a good, easy one for Praline Grahams...
1/3 package of graham crackers
3/4C butter
1/2C sugar
1C chopped pecans
Separate each graham into 4 sections. Arrange on a jelly roll pan with edges touching. Melt butter in a saucepan; stir in sugar and pecans. Bring to a boil; cook 3 minutes, stirring. Spread mixture evenly over graham crackers. Bake at 300F degrees for 12 minutes. Remove from pan, and cool on waxed paper. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
I thought that was it but it says it was updated 12/16/08... I know that we had a thread going around last year as well and I already have that one...
I will go compare and see if it is different..... Thanks for your help!

That is the thread, and that is the last time it was updated because that was the last time we got a new recipe until today! I'm going to add today's new recipe, but it won't be until later because I don't have the log in stuff saved on this laptop. Mine is 'in the shop' due to a screen flicker. Poo!
