Very few individuals have the time or equipment to actually make chocolate. It requires starting with cocoa beans.

Lots of people make chocolate candies. There are dozens of excellent bar chocolate bars that can be used to make candies or molded chocolate.

I ordered several small bars from several websites (chocosphere.com is one, I think) and tried them, before selection a couple to use when I make candy.
