I have a few questions regarding "writing" on gumpaste. I would like to make a birthday sign out of gumpaste and then write on it with BC.

1. Is it possible to write/pipe BC (i.e. Buttercream dream) directly on gumpaste? Is this possible?
2. Is it better to wait for the gumpaste to completely dry before I pipe or should I do it while it is "wet?"
3. Also, is it possible to pipe letters, let them completely dry, and then adhere them to the gumpaste? If I do this, should the gumpaste be dry, too?

Thanks for answering all my questions!

The gumpaste should be completely dry before you pipe anything onto it. Personally, I would use royal to avoid risk of grease stains on the gumpaste.

If you wanted to do royal letters, dry them, then add them to the gumpaste, it should work great.

Thanks for your response. I was hoping to use the BC because I have some leftover from a previous cake. Anyone else have any advice or experience with BC on gum paste? Hmmm, I may have to make some RI then.
