Just kidding! Take your time. icon_biggrin.gif It's hard enough to keep up with the pie thread and the cookie thread and the cupcake thread. I just tried to post a cookie recipe on the cookie thread and had it all written out and when I went to submit it disapppeared! icon_cry.gif I'll try again later. Too frustrating!

Hey meemaw, just take comfort in the fact that whatever you choose can't be as bad as the ones I chose. Yuk! icon_lol.gif

My baby brother LOOOOVED these! He took them before i could even take a picture. He called me on Wednesday and said he was coming back this weekend (he's in college about an hour away) and would I PLEASE make him more icon_biggrin.gif He said he shared one with his roommate and hid the rest icon_razz.gif So, of course, I made him more. I did make them from scratch because I couldnt find my other box (I swear I had two) and they were even more delicious. I love baking in them like cupcakes because it makes them all chewy and delicious. Around here, we all like the brownies that are on the outside of the pan, with these, they're ALL like that icon_biggrin.gif

Jane~mine kind of did that too. I think next time I'll fill a little fuller. After I dipped my tops I just spooned a little extra in the middle before I put the pb cups on. Worked out ok. icon_lol.gif

Thanks Michelle...finally back, and back on here...i'm wondering if had the correct mix though...there was no "cake" option...next time I'll try making less and put some on top of the pb cup...they're in the freezer...this week I'll try to get the ganache done and see how they look... icon_smile.gif

iownajane~the only difference between the reg brownie and the "cake" brownies on my dh box was an extra egg. ?? I don't know if they're all like that.

I used D.H. and it had the cake like version. Michelle's right, it is just an extra egg.

Here's the one I used! I got it off of allrecipes, so I cant take credit (or blame!) for it icon_biggrin.gif I thought it was really good and sooooo easy, though I may try one off of recipezaar next time, just because they have a few with crazy high ratings!!

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter, melted
3 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa
powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate
chips
DIRECTIONS:
1.   Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
2.   Combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each, until thoroughly blended.
3.   Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture until blended. Stir in the chocolate morsels. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
4.   Bake in preheated oven until an inserted toothpick comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Remove, and cool pan on wire rack before cutting.

I didnt add the reese's cup but I did add the Reese's pieces and it came out good. My kids and their friends loved them! I'll be making this again.

I made these again last night and I chopped up a reeses candy bar(they're new, it's like a hershy bar with peanut butter in it thumbs_up.gif ) But what I did was only fill the liner 1/4th of the way up and when they came out they looked like reeses peanut butter cups. I whipped the ganache this time. It was great because the kids had little bite size brownies.

Nickshalfpoint: I've been wanting to make whipped ganache...what recipe do you use?

Oh, nickshalfpint, I did the whipped ganache too! It was wonderful on these!! My friends were all saying they liked it because even though it looks decadent, it's light enough that you can eat them and not get that heavy sick feeling you get from eating super rich food. thumbs_up.gif

Last night I bought some peanut butter and chocolate chips and I'm going to try the brownie bites with ganache made from that. YUM!! Since there is a PB cup in there, it just seems 'right' to have some PB in the icing!

I just used 1 cup of heavy cream and a FULL cup of chips so that it would whip nicely. It was delish.

That is what I did, except I didn't have chocolate chips so I used hershey kisses. It was really good.
