I am going to be teaching an afterschool studio on cake decorating starting this Thursday for the fall semester at my daughter's school. I thought one week it would be fun to let the kids work with fondant and make cutouts to decorate cupcake tops. Kind of like working with edible playdough. So I was making a list of the supplies I would need and I would definately need to have more rolling pins. I remember seeing a post where someone said they made one, and I have searched, but I cannot find it. Can anyone tell me what is the best material to use to make inexpensive rolling pins?

Thanks!

go to home depot and get some pvc pipe.......you can get a huge length of it (like 6 ft. or something) for just a couple dollars, then use a hacksaw to cut it down to size!
