Is anyone going? My inlaws live about an hour away, and I'm thinking of going. Anyone else going to go? Of course I'm a newbie at all this, but i would LOVE to go and learn as much as I can,lol.

i am going. they are going to have some great speakers and i look forward to seeing all the beautiful cakes up close. I have never had the opportunity to go to anything like this. I hope to go to ices next year. I am going to try to enter next year, just want to go scope it out this year first.

When is it, and where, I would love to go

I would be there if I had the $, it is only a 3 hour drive for me. I'll get there one of these years! If you go let me know how it is and take pics!

I'll be there and I'm actually entering this year. I went last year just to see everything and scope it out but hubby convinced me that I need to enter. I'm not entering the wedding cake competition but I am entering 3 different cakes and it's freaking me out.

I will be there both days, all day.

It is Sept 27-28, sat and sunday. at the tulsa state fair. opens at 10 am.
The guest speakers are Keegan gerhard and Marina Sousa nd Dawn Nemec.
In years past there have been many big name cake decorators there. Of course the future big namers will be there.

And Edna I really hope I can see you, it would be great to meet someone with your work. I love your videos, my husband thinks I need grow nails and get your heels. I was bragging one day, thank goodness he is not coming with me.

I am so excited, I am trying to sell my house and my son is going to the navy, I have informed both, my realitor and son, do nothing on this weekend, it is mine.

We're going to OK City to visit my sister that weekend and I'm abandoning them all sunday to see as much as I can. Someday I'll enter...

I'm entering the wedding competiton so I'll be there!! Are all the CCer's going to be wearing anything to signify CC or meeting anywhere in particular?? It would be great to meet all of you in person!!

If anyone's thinking of going it's well worth the $8 admission fee. There are TONS of outstanding cakes there!!!

I live in the Joplin, MO area and I plan on going with my sister. I have been decorating cakes for about a year now, and she just started the Wilton classes. We are going to scope it out and see what is happening, we will probably enter something next year.
