chocolate marshmallow fondant I previously made is so crumbly I tried putting it in the microwave, kneading it with a bit more Crisco still the same results. I need help!!!
Yuck! That is SO frustrating! I haven't had much luck making my own chocolate fondant, either. I run into the same problems. I hope someone who has luck making their own choc. fondant will chime in. I'd love to know the secret to making a good one, too.
Dito!! I hate making chocoalte MMF. It is always dry and gross. Usually, I end up using only 1 lb of PS... try adding a little more water, and crisco....but I don't really know...sorry!!
So I post this question about chocolate MMF also in "Cake Disasters" here on cc and this awesome person suggested to try this out quote
" The recipe is here on cc, go to recipes and type in chocolate mmf. The recipe is Rhonda's Ultimate chocolate mmf."
Says it always works for them. I'm excited to try it!!!
I made it just like regular MMF, instead I used chocolate marshmallows available this time of year. It did seem a little stickier but still easy to work with. Turned out great and tasted good too. Used it on my beer bottle cake
It sounds like you added melted chocolate. Some decorators say it works well for them but I've never had any success when I do that. Instead I use Dutch Process cocoa powder. It makes a dark brown color. If you just want a light brown color then you can use regular cocoa. Here's the recipe and instructions I have typed up.
