I'm not really sure what meringue powder has in it, although I suspect it has cream of tartar and possibly sugar.

I have used the powdered egg whites in BC before, just because I already have them, I was just wondering if I'm losing anything by using them instead of the meringue powder.

Thanks in advance for the help.

ps I love this forum. icon_lol.gif

Here are the ingredients in Wilton's meringue powder:

Ingredients: modified food starch, egg whites, sugar, gum arabic, calcium sulfate, citricacid, cream of tartar, silicon dioxide and artificial flavor*.
*vanilla - a synthetic flavor derived in the lab.

Sorry...don't have a clue what half of those are!
